Here is the latest installment from The Microphones' (i.e., Phil Elvrum's) follow-up project, Mount Eerie. I'm fairly sure the 'pts. 6 & 7' indicates a continuation of the 5 tracks of the Microphones' Mount Eerie. Regardless: here's yet another set of songs from Elvrum focusing on mortality, death, and the afterlife. A lot of fuzz-bass drones, thundering drums, tenuous vocals, ubiquitous organs; basically, what we've come to expect from Elvrum lately. OH, and the vinyl-only release comes with a nice 132-page photobook (pictured above).
*If you enjoy this and are largely unfamiliar with Phil Elvrum's other work, I highly recommend the Microphones' (superior) outputs: It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water and The Glow, Pt. 2
