Crystal Antlers are an emerging prog rock band from California. Their first release is this EP produced by none other then Ikey Owens of the Mars Volta. Although very Mars Volta influenced it also draws influences from punk and soul music. On top of their unique sound all of these guys are great musicians and together they sound very tight. Personal picks are the song Owls, A Thousand Eyes, and Parting Song for the Torn Sky. I can't wait for these guys to put out a full length because this EP only makes me want to hear more.
